Your Tasks
The Working Student R&D at CMGs Decarbonisation Unit is supporting the team in tackling our decarbonisation challenge. Among other project related tasks, this focusses on developing tailored IT tools for modelling and optimization of pathways to achieve GHG neutrality, encompassing modelling of wider fleet compliance trajectories. Beside the global picture, this position will support the team in project development and execution initiatives to demonstrate innovative decarbonisation technologies by e.g.simulating ship energy systems.
- Support in project development & execution
- Screening and benchmarking of software solutions (modelling and optimizing)
- Development, test and maintenance of IT tools
- Creation of requirements catalogues
- Implementation of existing tools in comprehensive framework
- Documentation of work
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT or Math related field
- Knowledge of marine systems, including energy conversion, propulsion, thermal and electrical systems
- Proficient use of office package, python and optimization software
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive new topics, resume ownership and develop workstreams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Our Corporate language is English, skills in German and/or Italian language are welcomed
