Your responsibilities:

  • Safely overseeing the engineering watch on the cruise vessel.

  • Providing training, guidance, and supervision to subordinate crew members.

  • Organizing and carrying out maintenance activities in accordance with PMS requirements for the assigned sub-department.

  • Ensuring the safe operation, performance, and monitoring of all machinery and alarms in the engine control room (ECR), and reporting to the Staff Chief Engineer.

  • Implementing and adhering to the Engine Resources Management (ERM) standard, both personally and with team members.

  • Fulfilling ERM roles as specified by the standard.

  • Taking responsibility for machinery equipment based on team assignments.

  • Assisting in bunkering operations.

Your profile:

  • Possessing a valid national second engineer certificate of competency (COC III/2 unlimited) in accordance with STCW regulations.

  • Having a minimum of two prior contracts in a similar position, preferably on cruise vessels.

  • Demonstrating exceptional English language proficiency and strong communication skills.

  • Showing motivation and a strong desire for personal and professional growth.

  • Displaying a guest and service-oriented mindset, along with the ability to work well within a team, lead, and motivate others.
